Children are the focus and inspiration to Kice Kice, we feel it is our responsibility to create a line that not only reflects the beauty of childhood, but also works to create the most beautiful world for their future. Using high quality fabrics Kice Kice prints custom patterns and pieces together textures and shapes to create a unique line of children’s clothing. Kice Kice combines a playful essence with a natural simplicity that frames and reflects the beauty of any child. Kice Kice is a partnership between twin sisters, Karen Kice and Lesley Kice. Lesley Kice, a textile artist, started making children’s clothing after the birth of her daughter. Naturally, Karen, also an artist, began helping Lesley; the two found their combination of skills and implicit understanding of each other to be the perfect creative and sucessful partnership. Lesley and Karen both received their BFA from Kansas City Art Institute. Lesley specialized in textiles and Karen in ceramics and art history. Upon completing their undergraduate degrees, Lesley and Karen moved apart for the first time in their lives. Lesley studied in the MFA programs at University of California, Davis and Arizona State University and Karen received her masters in Architectural Theory from The Bartlett, University College London. After over five years of being apart with daily phone calls and frequent visits, the twins are now living in the Los Angeles area working together on Kice Kice. Each item Lesley and Karen make is regarded as a piece of artwork. They take the same care and attention to detail while designing and creating Kice Kice items as they do in their own artwork: each piece celebrates the beauty of childhood.
